FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You’re not doing this every day

(THAT WOULD BE HIGHLY ILLEGAL), So naturally you have some questions you need answered.

What is your role as Celebrant?

First and foremost, my role is to get you hitched! Creating your ideal ceremony.

There is a teeny bit of homework on your side to ensure I can get to know you both and learn your story.. But it's fun!

It's my job to help set the tone by helping you and your guests to relax, have fun and get involved in all the love, laughter and tears.

Lastly, I lodge all the legal paperwork to ensure your marriage is registered with Births, Deaths and Marriages.

How long does the ceremony take?

Your ceremony, your call. As a rough guide, most of my ceremonies run between 15-25 minutes.

What do we need to do to make it legal on the day?

A qualified and currently registered

celebrant. You and your partner (both parties must be legally single). Two witnesses who are over the age of 18.

Do I have to write my own vows?

Short answer, No. There are legal vows which must be included, to which I will write and give to you on the day.

Long answer: I feel though that it makes the ceremony more reflective of you two if you put in the effort and write your own. It’s your one chance to publicly declare your love for your person. It’s not as if we sit on the couch next to one another declaring our love and making promises. But if you do do that… YOU’RE INCREDIBLE!

I’m your co-pilot entire way through it, don’t worry.

Options - You could have the legal wording only, something more traditional, or go nuts and write your own declaration that will blow your partners socks off and earn you some serious brownie points!

Will you travel for our wedding?

HELL YES! I love a good location wedding. Travel outside of 100 km round trip from home does incur some extra cash.

Can we have a rehearsal?

The short answer is yes, if you must! lol

I'm sure you have attended your share of weddings to know what goes on. Therefore, I don't tend to do many “in person” rehearsals these days. We do however have a final date before the wedding to go through what will happen, in detail.

We will cover, the walk in, the loved one who’s walking you down hand balling you over, where to stand, the kiss, the signing, the exit and everything in between . This is usually done via zoom - let’s have some bubbles and some chocolate and nut it all out.

What is the cost?

$ is dependent on circumstances, What type of ceremony you are after, location etc .I’ll provide a quote at time of enquiry.
