Kellie Eddy - Civil Celebrant

Look no further, you've found me

Hi, I'm Kellie.
I grew up on a dairy farm in Yinnar and now live in Traralgon with my family.
I LOVE weddings and knew from a young age that I wanted to be involved in this industry. Being a celebrant is amazing, it combines my love of weddings, my love for meeting new people and creating new friendships, my love of love, and of course my love for talking. The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know my couples and understanding their dynamic, so together we can create a ceremony that is a true personal reflection of their love story. Oh and the fact that I get to make new friends and have a bloody good time along the way!

1. Get in touch if you'd like me to be part of your special day. My calendar fills up quickly, sometimes up to two years in advance.

2. Let's meet up so we can get to know each other and suss out the vibe you want to create.

3. Together, we create a unique ceremony to reflect you as a couple. You can have as much or as little input as you like in this process.

4. We’ll complete a Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month before your ceremony date.

5. We rock a kick arse ceremony on your wedding day, full of love, laughter and probably even some tears.

 6. I take care of the paperwork to ensure you are legally married.

7. You live happily ever after as a married couple and I post some photos and we all share stories of your awesome wedding day for years to come.

What is your role as a celebrant?

First and foremost, my role is to get you hitched! I create your ideal ceremony with as little or as much input from you as you desire.

It's my job to help set the vibe for the day by helping you and your guests to relax and to be yourselves.

Lastly, I lodge all the legal paperwork to ensure your marriage is registered with Births, Deaths and Marriages.

Do I have to write my own vows?

Absolutely not! There are legal vows which must be included. You could have the legals only, something more traditional, or go nuts and write your own.

How long does the ceremony take?

Your ceremony should take as long as it takes. Everyone’s different, so, your ceremony, your call. As a rough guide, most of my ceremonies are typically between 15-30 minutes.

What do I need on the day to make it legal?

In order to make your wedding legal in the eyes of the law, you need:

A qualified and currently registered celebrant.

You and your partner (both parties must be legally single). And two witnesses who are over the age of 18, that's it!

Your wedding day can be as simple or as meticulously planned as you desire. But those are the bare bones of it.

Can we have a rehearsal?

The short answer is yes, if you must! lol

I'm sure you have attended your share of weddings to know what goes on. Therefore, I don't tend to do many rehearsals these days. But if you would like a rehearsal to calm your nerves, we can discuss this. At the end of the day, I work for you.

Will you travel for our wedding?

HELL YES! I love a good location wedding.

What's your cost?

Each wedding is different, so depending on your circumstances, what type of ceremony you are after, your location, the date etc - I will give you a quote at the time of enquiry.

Your wedding should be the most fabulous day of your life. Let me take care of all the logistics, so you can relax and enjoy the day with your loved ones.

If you're not a fan of being the centre of attention and you don't want all the bells and whistles of a full wedding ceremony, then let's roll with this option. We can create a short and sweet ceremony - similar to a registry style marriage.

This is where the magic happens, where our friendship begins. So, unlimited contact with me in person or via text, email, Skype, FaceTime etc. It's your call, we can go and have a drink at the pub or you can come to me, snuggle up on my couch and just chat. Together, we create a tailored ceremony perfectly suited to you as a couple. The most common duration for a ceremony of this type is 15-30 minutes.

Let me take some of the stress out of your wedding day by working with you to create a fun and relaxing ceremony perfectly reflective of you and your partner.

We all like to know what someone is really like before we book them. So before you invite me into your lives, into your home and to share in your special day with your family and friends, have a read below. These are some of the testimonials from my past lovers.

Kellie, Steve and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the amazing ceremony you performed. We were just thrilled with how smooth everything went and how professional you were to work with. From our first meeting, till the end you were these to assist us along the way.
