WELL, HEY THERE - Welcome.

I'm Kellie Eddy and this is my story.

I grew up on a dairy farm in Yinnar with my immediate family and Grand parents. I loved farm life - 358 acres of green grass, hills, dirt driveways and LOTS of animals. From cows, geese, chooks, an emu, dogs, way too many cats, and a goat named Molly.

My brother and I were lucky enough to have the freedom and wide open spaces. Which meant room to run, room to ride and room to do whatever we wanted. We grew up very quickly as both parents worked F/T. So that meant cooking and preparing our own meals and getting ourselves home from school - which sometimes involved walking 2-3kms home during milking time, NOT COOL IN THE RAIN MUM, NOT COOL!

I attended Primary School in Yinnar, Highschool in Churchill & Morwell and have worked in many different industries along the way.

Now, I am all grown up and have a family of my own. We are The Eddy’s and we live in Traralgon.

So, why am I a Celebrant?

I LOVE weddings (who doesn’t) and knew from a young age that I wanted to be involved in this industry. Initially I was behind the mic, but in a different capacity. I was the wedding singer, accompanied by my very talented husband. But then I decided I wanted to be the one helping make these Hitchings legal. So, I got to it and now I am that person.

I feel like being a Celebrant gives me Super Powers! I have the capacity to join humans together in something as sacred as marriage. How freaking cool is that!

The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know new people, learning stories, eating olives, drinking champagne and creating a wicked ceremony that is a true reflection of your love story.

How does it work?!

1. Get in touch if you'd like me to be part of your special day. My calendar fills up quickly, sometimes up to two years in advance.

2. Let's meet up, have a drink, have a chat and eat some chocolate; so we can get to know each other and suss out if we are the right fit.

3. Working together, as a team, we create a unique ceremony to reflect you as a couple. You and your lover can have as much or as little input as you like in this process. Although, I feel like the more input you have, the more reflective your day is of you and your relationship. I will hold your hand all the way ;)

4. We’ll complete some paper work, including Notice of Intended Marriage (at least one month before your date) and a Declaration of no legal impediment to Marriage (as close to the ceremony as possible). Again, I will hold your hand through this part.

5. On your wedding day, we all get dressed up and rock a kick arse ceremony. One that’s full of love, laughter some tears, and some shots if you’re game!

 6. After you’re hitched, I’ll snap a photo with you (because if it ain’t on socials it didn’t happen) and then I will leave you to party the night away. I go home, take care of the paperwork to ensure it’s all offical.

7. You live your own version of “happily ever after” as a married couple, I post some photos and we all share stories of your awesome wedding day for years to come.

SOUNDS FUN HEY!
